EcoSoma Consulting and Therapy offers services that bridge distinct zones of transformation, from the ecological, to the organizational, to the somatic-body level.
EcoSoma principal, Daniel Roth, has the rare ability to provide integrative services across these zones. For over 15 years he has been at the creative nexus of social entrepreneurship, ecological education, organizational sustainability, therapeutic somatics, and healing arts education.
Daniel is a New York and Hawaii licensed massage therapist and somatic movement therapist. Over the last decade and half he has provided services to low-income clients at the Ithaca Free Clinic and served on the faculty of the Finger Lakes School of Massage. He has been a professional hands-on therapist since 2003 with specialties in Shiatsu (Japanese meridian massage), Dynamic Embodiment Somatic Movement Therapy, Process Oriented Psychology, Body - Mind Centering, and Laban Movement Analysis.
Daniel is nationally recognized for his leadership in sustainable development. Currently he is co-director of the WholeCare Project in support of indigenous communities around the world. Formerly he served for 8 years as the Cornell University Director of Campus Sustainability and the Co-Chair of the Ivy League Sustainability Consortium. Previously he founded New York's first car-share business, Ithaca CarShare, and served as a founding Board Member and Sector Leader of the United States Partnership for Education for Sustainable Development.
